After crossing the mountains, the tour continues to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a remarkable fortified village that has served as the backdrop for numerous films, including classics like Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as popular TV series such as Game of Thrones. Guests will have the opportunity to explore this iconic Moroccan kasbah.
Next, the tour heads to the city of Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” After free time for lunch, the journey continues through the picturesque Rose Valley and the large palm grove of Skoura, before arriving in Boumalne Dades where you will spend the night.
Dades Valley = Tinger = Merzouga = luxury camp
The tour continues through the stunning Dades Valley, with a stop at a viewpoint overlooking the dramatic Dades Gorges. Guests will have the opportunity to marvel at the grand, red-cliff-sided canyon carved by the Todra River.
Travelers are free to wander and explore the natural beauty of the Todra Gorges before continuing on through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, with a stop for lunch along the way.
In the afternoon, the tour reaches the Saharan dunes of Merzouga. Leaving the vehicles behind, guests board camels for a journey deep into the sandy desert. A highlight of the day is reaching the top of a high dune to witness the magical desert sunset.
As night falls, the group continues to a luxury desert camp, where they can enjoy traditional Berber music and dancing around the campfire under the vast, starry sky, before sitting down to a delicious dinner and an overnight stay in the camp.

On the last day of the tour, guests wake up early to witness the breathtaking desert sunrise. After enjoying breakfast at the camp, the group returns to Merzouga by camel. From there, the tour continues to the town of Rissani, the ancient capital of the Tafilalet region and a major trading center, known for its lively souk that operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Visitors have the opportunity to stroll through the bustling market.
Next, the group travels to Erfoud, where they visit a workshop showcasing the area’s famous fossilized marble. Continuing the journey, the tour stops for a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley before reaching the city of Midelt, where guests have free time for lunch.
The final leg of the tour takes the group to the cedar forests near Ifrane, home to Barbary macaques. Visitors can wander the forests and even feed the friendly monkeys. Lastly, the tour arrives in the “Switzerland of Morocco,” the picturesque city of Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture and low temperatures, before dropping guests off at their final destination in Fez, completing the 3 days Marrakech to Fez desert adventure.
